WHO?

Born in Vermont to native Long Islanders, Janine Fleri is a writer, filmmaker, and video artist currently residing in Queens, NY.  Ms. Fleri studied experimental film making, film history, and creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College. She is currently working towards a Media Management Certificate/Masters Degree in Media Studies at The New School.

The site features my super-8/dv piece for the word “Welkin” meaning “the vault of heaven” or simply, “the sky.”

La Superette

lsbanner4 La Superette is an annual art fair which originated in Paris.  In 2005 I created photography books bound in VHS cases, 2006 was the year of the coloring ‘zine, and in 2008 I collaborated with my partner Jason Kanellis in crafting multi-purpose plant ornaments for X-mas, H-kha, and K-za.

Hell On Reels: Astoria Moving Picture Festival
